When men raise their testosterone, some of it converts to estradiol through a process called aromatization. In some men on hormone therapy, that conversion runs high enough to cause symptoms. Anastrozole is an aromatase inhibitor: it slows the conversion so your provider can keep both numbers where they belong.

Freedom RX offers compounded anastrozole as a flex-dose tablet, prepared by a state-licensed U.S. compounding pharmacy under an individual prescription. Compounded anastrozole is not FDA-approved, and use in men is off-label. It is prescribed only alongside provider-supervised hormone therapy, with baseline and follow-up labs, at a dose your provider sets from your results.

Compounded medications are not FDA-approved. Prescribed only when a licensed provider determines treatment is appropriate for you. Individual results vary. Important Safety Information

Who this is for

Hormones are a system. Balance is the job.

Anastrozole is the tool providers reach for when testosterone therapy pushes estradiol too high. Lab-driven, conservatively dosed, never guesswork.

Discreet, always
“Why would I take an estrogen drug?”
Because conversion is real.

Some testosterone converts to estradiol, and when that runs high, symptoms follow. Anastrozole slows the conversion so both numbers stay in range.

“Can’t I just tough out the symptoms?”
Your labs will settle it.

Elevated estradiol is measurable. Your provider treats what the numbers show, and skips the medication entirely if they don’t call for it.

“More pills, more hassle.”
A small tablet, as directed.

Dosed alongside your existing protocol on your provider’s schedule, with refills that arrive in the same plain box.

Why would a man need an estrogen medication?+
Testosterone naturally converts to estradiol, and estradiol does real work in men. But when hormone therapy pushes it too high, symptoms can follow. Anastrozole slows the conversion. Whether you need it at all is a lab question your provider answers, not an assumption.
Is anastrozole FDA-approved?+
Anastrozole is FDA-approved under another name for treating certain breast cancers in postmenopausal women. Use in men for estrogen management is off-label, and the compounded tablet is prepared for your individual prescription. Compounded medications are not FDA-approved, and the FDA does not evaluate them for safety, effectiveness, or quality.
Do I need lab work?+
Yes. Anastrozole dosing is driven by your estradiol levels, so baseline labs come first and follow-up labs confirm the dose is right. Your provider will not prescribe it on symptoms alone.
What are the side effects?+
Joint aches and stiffness are the most reported. Suppressing estrogen too far causes its own problems, including effects on mood, cholesterol, and bone health, which is why dosing is conservative and monitored.
What if I want to stop?+
There are no long-term contracts. Message your care team or email support@freedomrxhealth.com and your provider will walk you through stopping safely.
Do I need a prescription?+
Yes. Every medication on this page is prescription-only. A licensed provider reviews your online visit and decides whether it is appropriate for you. There is no charge if you are not approved.
Is this covered by insurance?+
Freedom RX is cash-pay. There is no insurance, no prior authorization, and no surprise bill. The price you see is the price you pay.
How does shipping work?+
Orders ship from a licensed US pharmacy in plain packaging with no product name on the outside. Temperature-sensitive items ship with cold packs.
What states do you serve?+
We serve most US states, and your visit confirms availability where you live before you pay a dime. Telehealth rules vary by state, and we follow every one of them.
Can I talk to a real person?+
Yes. Email support@freedomrxhealth.com and a real person answers, not a bot. You can also message your care team from your account.
