California Privacy Notice
Effective date: September 3, 2026 · Supplements our Privacy Policy for California residents
The short version
- We do not sell your personal information, and we never have.
- Advertising cookies can count as “sharing” under California law. You can opt out below, and we honor Global Privacy Control automatically.
- You can ask to know, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you.
- Exercising your rights never costs you anything and never changes how you are treated.
- Requests: email support@freedomrxhealth.com.
This notice is for California residents and supplements our Privacy Policy. It explains your rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (together, the “CCPA”), and how to exercise them. It also serves as our notice at collection: what we collect, why, and how long we keep it.
One scope note: medical information covered by HIPAA or California’s Confidentiality of Medical Information Act is exempt from the CCPA and is protected under those laws instead. See our HIPAA notice. This page covers the rest, like your account details and how you use our website.
1. Notice at collection: what we collect and why
| Category (CCPA) | Examples | Why we collect it |
|---|---|---|
| Identifiers | Name, email, mailing address, IP address, account login | Creating your account, coordinating your visit and shipping, support |
| Customer records | Billing details, order history (payment card numbers stay with our payment processors) | Processing payments, managing plans and renewals |
| Commercial information | Treatments purchased or considered | Fulfilling orders, support, service communications |
| Internet activity | Pages visited, device and browser data, cookies | Site analytics, security, and advertising as described in the Privacy Policy |
| Sensitive personal information | Account login credentials; health information you submit for care | Signing you in; health information is used only to deliver your care, as HIPAA and the CMIA require, and never for advertising or inference |
We collect these directly from you, automatically from your device, and from the providers, pharmacies, and service partners involved in your care. We use sensitive personal information only for the purposes California law permits without a right to limit, so no separate “Limit the Use of My Sensitive Personal Information” link is required. Retention follows the schedule in our Privacy Policy: as long as needed for your care, legal record-keeping requirements, and resolving disputes, then deleted or de-identified.
2. Sale and sharing of personal information
Sale: we do not sell personal information for money, we have not done so in the preceding 12 months, and we have no plans to. We also have no actual knowledge of selling or sharing personal information of consumers under 16.
Sharing: the CCPA defines “sharing” as disclosing personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, even with no money involved. Advertising cookies on our marketing pages, described in our Privacy Policy, may qualify. The categories involved are identifiers and internet activity only. Your health information, intake answers, and treatment details are never shared with advertising platforms.
3. Your right to opt out of sharing
Marketing cookies are off until you opt in through the consent banner, and you can withdraw that choice at any time, in whichever way suits you:
- Cookie preferences. Use the Cookie preferences link in the footer of any page to review or change your choice.
- Global Privacy Control. Turn on GPC in your browser or install a GPC-enabled extension. We treat the signal as a valid opt-out for that browser, automatically.
- Email. Send “Do not sell or share my personal information” to support@freedomrxhealth.com and we will apply the opt-out to your account.
- Cookie and ad controls. Use the opt-out tools listed in our Privacy Policy, including the Digital Advertising Alliance and Network Advertising Initiative tools and your Google ad settings.
4. Your other CCPA rights
- Right to know and access. What categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, where it came from, why, and who it was disclosed to, including a portable copy.
- Right to delete. Ask us to delete your personal information, subject to exceptions such as records we must keep by law (medical and pharmacy record retention rules, for example).
- Right to correct. Ask us to fix inaccurate personal information.
- Right to non-discrimination. Exercising your rights never affects your price, your service, or your care.
5. How to exercise your rights
Email support@freedomrxhealth.com with your request. We will confirm receipt within 10 business days and respond within 45 calendar days, extending once by another 45 days only if reasonably necessary, with notice to you. We verify your identity using information already on file, typically by confirming control of the email address on your account; we will never ask you to create new accounts or pay a fee to make a request.
Authorized agents: you may use an authorized agent to submit requests on your behalf. We will ask for the agent’s written authorization signed by you and may still verify your identity directly.
Appeals: if we decline a request, reply to our response and someone other than the original decision-maker will review it.
6. Other California disclosures
Shine the Light (Civil Code § 1798.83): we do not disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing, so there is nothing to request under this law, but you are welcome to ask.
Do Not Track and GPC: California law asks us to say how we respond to browser signals. Legacy “Do Not Track” signals have no settled meaning, so like most sites we do not act on them; Global Privacy Control signals, which do have legal effect, are honored as described above.
7. Changes and contact
We review this notice at least every 12 months and update it when our practices change, with the effective date above. Questions or requests: support@freedomrxhealth.com. Email is our only support channel, and a real person reads it.
